Which one is right for me?

It's a very easy and common mistake. People in general, deal with Windows every day, well almost everybody. It's installed on your home computer or maybe on your work computer. However, many people think that because they use Windows on a day-to-day basis it would be the first choice for your web hosting. That is 100% not true. The platform you choose for your web hosting is vital to what your web site is doing.

Here are a few recommendations:

  • If your website requires PHP and or MYSQL then our Linux Packages are best. Windows is just not good for PHP/MYSQL appplications. This includes items such as Jommla, WordPress etc.
  • If you are planning to use ASP & ASP.NET then Windows is the only choice.
  • If you are just going to make a basic bog standard website, either if platform can be used. Although we'd reccomend our Linux
  • If you are unsure, just ask, we can give expert advice as to what is needed.

Windows Server 2003

Our Windows 2003 servers run IIS 6 and support ASP, FrontPage Extensions, Perl, PHP 4 and compiled CGI scripting. ASP.NET with Ajax Extensions can also be added to your account

Need to move from another host?

With another host and worried about losing all your data if you move to us? If you’re current host has cPanel we will transfer all your data, emails and MySQL databases free of charge. Once you’ve ordered your hosting package just request the service. No questions asked.

Securing your domain name is vital to a memorable website address. If you already have a domain name or need advice and help to get one we’re here to help.
